Finances -

Vonna reported on the finances: Since the May 7th meeting the only financial activity was a $1,575 deposit for ads from the registration book. There was some discussion about the possibility of receiving some money from the Crane Chamber of Commerce as the reunion might qualify as a tourist activity for the community. Bud Taylor volunteered to follow up on this opportunity.

BBQ -

On behalf of Heather Basurto, Vonna reported the following on the BBQ: Suggestions have been made to mail tickets as people register for Reunion activities instead of holding the tickets until the weekend of the reunion. It was agreed by most in attendance that this would cause less confusion and seemed to be a viable option. Floyd Smith made a motion to mail the tickets prior to the reunion. Johnny Bull seconded and the motion carried.

Dance -

On behalf of Jill Gallion and Kenny Smith, Laura reported that there was no new activity regarding the dance.

Johnny Bull will speak with Jill about hotel arrangements so that the registration book can contain an advertisement for the hotel, as well as, obtaining an advertising slick for the band.

Ads -

Johnny Bull reported he had received approximately $2,350 for ads. He read off the names of indivuals and businesses that had not been contacted and asked for volunteers to help with uncontacted advertisers.

Registration/General Assembly -

On behalf of Paul Smith, Kay Smith reported on decoration details and tributes being planned for specific classes.

Laura reported that Elizabeth Geary Mandry will be doing the entertainment for the registration. She also suggested contacting the Crane Sports Boosters to have the high school run-thru tunnel outside the school at registration. Laura will contact Billy Blue and Jimmy Fox to do this.

Luau -

On behalf of Rosemary Cavazos, Laura reported on a faxed proposal received from Shelly Garcia. $1500 food/setup and

$10 per hour for clean up after the luau or any other events.

Bud Taylor made a motion to let Shelly and her crew prepare the food, set-up, as well as clean-up on the luau for the $1,500 fee. Floyd Smith seconded and the motion carried.

Floyd Smith made a motion to make the following proposal to Shelly Garcia and her crew in lieu of her original proposal of $10 per hour for additional work:

A flat fee of $150 fee to move chairs to exhibition building immediately after the luau is over, set up tables around the pool area, clean inside and outside the pool area including the parking lot following the luau. Bud Taylor seconded and the motion carried.
